On May 18, during The International Museum Day, the Art Factory in Tel Aviv hosted cultural events organized by the Russian-speaking community of Israel: a book market with new children's and adult literature, creative master classes for children, a marathon of lectures on art from the best museum experts, a joint exhibition by Elina Gomberg and Ksenia Plekhanova.
The founder of the Tech4.art agency, Vladimir Opredelenov, gave a lecture entitled "What will happen in museums in 1000 years?".
Over the past 50 years, we have seen science fiction dreams become reality. From smartphones to artificial intelligence, technological advances are racing ahead, leaving us in amazement. So what does the future hold? Imagine museums in a thousand years. What kind of exhibits will they have? How will people interact with them?
In this lection we will:
• Travel back in time and explore museums of the future.
• Reflect on what technologies will shape our lives and how they will impact museums.
• Imagine how people will learn and experience the world in 1,000 years.
• Discuss how to preserve our legacy for future generations.
• Discuss how digital immortality will change our understanding of life, death, eternity, and time. And what does this have to do with museums?
