Digital immortality: lecture in Tikotin Museum of Japanese Art

On December 24, the Haifa Tikotin Museum of Japanese Art hosted the premiere of a lecture by Vladimir Opredelenov, founder of the Tech4.art agency, entitled “Man, Art, Heritage, Virtuality: On the Threshold of Digital Immortality”. This became one of the largest public events at the museum in the last three months, with over 60 people attending.

The lecture examined the history of humanity’s quest for immortality and how modern technologies can bring us closer to its conditional digital form. The lecturer shared the first version of a data model for creating a digital twin of a person, which can become an object, and in the future, perhaps a subject of digital cultural heritage. This topic aroused keen interest and many questions.

The recording of the lecture is available on the YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@VladimirOpredelenov
